As Senior Manager, Marketing, you will play a key role on Blackboard’s North American Higher Education (NAHE) Marketing team. Reporting into the VP of Performance Marketing, North America this position will develop and drive high-touch marketing programs to generate quality pipeline and to move prospects through the sales cycle. Working closely with the sales team, you will be responsible for driving demand for Blackboard’s industry-leading solutions and closely tracking performance and associated revenue/return on investment.
  
As Senior Manager, Marketing, you will proactively drive strategic marketing programs from planning through execution to tracking results, understand sales goals and corresponding field objectives, ensure alignment with segment marketing objectives, define programs and success measurement, and deliver programs across the US, Canada and in-region. 
 
Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, managing, and developing the team responsible for strategizing, executing, and tracking performance of integrated marketing plans that generate quality pipeline and move prospects through the sales cycle for Blackboard in North America
  • Developing integrated demand generation programs that take prospects through a sequential journey, delivering results in the form of sales and revenue
  • Executing campaigns by leading cross-departmental teams — including web, e-mail, telemarketing, webinar, PR, events, etc.
  • Guiding the creation of marketing content (white papers, video, etc.) that is tailored to buyer personas and increases buyer engagement
  • Defining marketing segments that align with sales teams’ goals to deliver relevant, focused messages and programs
  • Tracking program results, measuring program success and leveraging Salesforce to report metrics
  • Maintaining program budget and optimizing campaign and event strategy to deliver maximum return on investment
  • This role requires approximately 30% travel

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 6 years of B2B software marketing experience
  • Outstanding writing, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience with developing integrated, multi-touch marketing plans
  • Demonstrated ability in driving demand for enterprise software, leveraging a wide variety of techniques, including content marketing, drip campaigns, digital/web, etc.
  • Proven track record of partnering successfully with sales management
  • Experience in delivering to a C-Level audience or executives
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative and analytical

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Industry or vertical marketing experience, education
