As a Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will work in a SAFe Agile environment to deliver and build the next generation EdTech platform fueled by data. A successful candidate must be comfortable with complex software development projects and be an innovative thinker. As a direct contributor, the candidate must be comfortable meeting deadlines on multiple projects and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements. In addition to developing software, the ideal candidate can troubleshoot problems and support our production environments. Prior experience in web service development with a service-oriented architecture is preferred. 

We are looking for a candidate with skills on the backend and the desire to become a full stack engineer with the willingness to expand and grow their skillset. This engineer will be working in a serverless environment on the AWS platform and should have a strong desire to learn as technologies evolve. 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product development and a strong background in web application development (Java, Node.js, Python)
  • Working experience implementing Web Services (REST API), authentication, CI/CD lifecycles and pipelines
  • Working experience in developing single-page JavaScript applications and frameworks such as React, Redux, or Angular
  • Experience building in large-scale, cloud environments, cloud-based solution implementation and maintenance, domain driven design and service-oriented architecture
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycles, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and deployment
  • Knowledge of unit and integration tests
  • Passionate about software development; ability to provide guidance on best practices, design and architecture standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences in a global environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above


Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and serverless technologies (Kubernetes, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Aurora, Lambda, Event Bridge)
  • Experience in the education industry and with e-learning technologies
  • AWS Certification
