Blackboard’s Global Digital and Demand Marketing team manages all aspects related to Digital Marketing within Blackboard: Website Operations, SEO, eCommerce, Campaign Management, Marketing Automation, Paid Media, Inbound, and Content Marketing. This team works in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced environment, and work closely with other members of the Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Client Retention, and Sales organizations.


In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing programs that capture and nurture leads across multiple channels. In this role, you’ll be responsible for programs to generate and nurture leads via events, SEM, email, retargeting, and targeted social advertising. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll design, plan, manage, and optimize global integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate pipeline revenue.


A successful candidate will be data-driven, and have a hands-on, collaborative, and can-do attitude.


Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing cross-regional “global” campaign priorities with field and product marketing partners
  • Designing, planning, managing, and optimizing global integrated digital campaigns across multiple channels to generate pipeline
  • Collaborating with product and brand marketing SMEs to create impactful campaign messaging that aligns with Blackboard overall brand and product messaging
  • Monitoring and reporting campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPIs, including but not limited to impressions, clicks, web visitors, video views, collateral downloads, leads, initial sales conversations, and revenue
  • Optimizing campaigns at each stage to drive MQLs that covert to opportunities
  • Creating impactful nurture programs to improve conversion rates from leads to opportunities 
  • Working closely with the Director of Digital and Demand Marketing for both granular tracking, reporting, and efficient lead management in the handoff from marketing to sales
  • This role requires up to approximately 10% travel


The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of B2B demand generation/marketing experience in SaaS
  • Strong experience in the development of creative campaigns and execution of email marketing, social advertising, content syndication, SEM, and paid digital
  • Strong reporting capabilities with the ability to track campaign performance and associated spend down to the most granular details while providing roll-up reporting to senior management
  • Self-starter; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and shift workload to meet deadlines


Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Experience with the education market (K12 & Higher Ed)
  • Familiarity with product marketing
  • International marketing experience
  • Experience with intent marketing strategies
