The Blackboard legal team, consisting of Attorneys, Paralegals, Contracts Managers and Administrative Contract Assistants (the latter two being non-legal professionals), is focused on regularly working across internal corporate functions with sales personnel, technical and product personnel, and central corporate functions on contract matters, and on drafting and negotiating contracts. The legal team has a tremendous wealth of experience in technology contracts in the education space and maintains a solid track record of finding the right people to work with and train to be a part of the team. This position supports the administrative efforts and needs involved in the company’s contracting process.

A successful candidate will be a bright, energetic professional with an interest in software license and service agreement efforts in support of a global sales organization. 
 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Issuing company standard templates for software license agreements based on system information and other input from the sales representative. The role requires demonstration of good judgment when issuing agreements based on criteria/guidelines/direction provided by Team Leaders
  • Processing internal administrative paperwork to facilitate closing/completion of the contract/sale pursuant to team process and procedure
  • Understanding and applying team and company policies, operating practices, and performance standards
  • Completing client forms and other paperwork related to applicable sales/contracts

 

 

The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:

  • 2+ years contract administrative operations
  • Understanding of basic contract structure and operational process
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Desire to succeed in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Highly efficient and organized; ability to handle multiple tasks with ease and professionalism
  • Ability to be proactive, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines in a service oriented and aggressive sales driven environment
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy
  • Proven analytical and written and oral communication skills

 

 
Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • 3+ years contract administrative operations 
  • SalesForce.com experience
  • SharePoint experience
  • DocuSign experience
  • Higher Ed or public-sector contracts experience
