As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining branded collateral and digital assets for the global Blackboard communications and marketing team. As a key member of the creative services department, the Graphic Designer will support a diverse set of internal stakeholders including communications, social media, field marketing, product marketing, web, and events. You will play a critical role in maintaining brand standards and corporate templates. 

Specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Creating and maintaining design templates for assets such as sell sheets, brochures, tradeshow graphics, and more 
  • Recommending courses of action for improving existing assets, creating new ones, and weaving new ideas into the creative 
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders on content development  
  • Developing assets and providing all relevant files and materials for project completion  
  • Effectively communicating with internal team members on project phases, goals, and completion dates 
  • Being accountable for the quality of each design 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a strong portfolio 
  • Proficient in typography, color, composition, and general graphic design best practices 
  • Experience using state-of-the-art graphic design software and can learn quickly and adapt as technology becomes more sophisticated 
  • Solid understanding of print and web design 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a fluctuating list of day-to-day project execution and deliverables 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Experience with PowerPoint and with Adobe Creative Suite including, but not limited to, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in fast-paced environment 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above

Blackboard has an office located in Bogota, Colombia as a hub for the LAC market.
