Blackboard’s Global Communications and Brand team is responsible for the strategy, management and execution of Blackboard’s social media, creative services, public relations, events, media relations and corporate communications efforts, including brand strategy and Employee Engagement. Working with leaders across the company, as well as members of Blackboard’s partner and client communities, the team works to enhance and expand awareness of the company in the education and technology communities.
As Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of a social media and blog strategy that supports corporate priorities, showcases our brand and enables marketers to effectively use both in their campaigns. You will partner with the Director of Brand and Content Creation on the development of an editorial calendar. In alignment with this calendar, you will draft posts, use simple design tools to create multimedia, and partner with creative services team to create high quality content. You will be responsible for creating and presenting reports, benchmarking, and daily social media monitoring.
A successful candidate will possess an understanding of content best practices across various channels and have an eye for consistency and quality. Additionally, a successful candidate will feel comfortable engaging in collaborative and productive partnerships across the marketing organization.
