In this role, you will be a part of the Blackboard Developer Relations and Standards team, which helps to reshape the way EdTech applications integrate with Blackboard products to improve teaching and learning around the globe. This is a motivated, creative, and energetic team that works in a flexible and agile fashion to deliver world-class software and APIs to the education market. By joining this team, you will become a core contributing member to a team focused on developers internally and externally as they integrate with Blackboard’s EdTech Platform initiative. This future state platform will seamlessly and uniquely deliver a revolutionized learning experience through innovation, continuous delivery, and architectural integration.
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work in a SAFe Agile environment to deliver and build the next generation EdTech platform fueled by data. You will be developing and maintaining micro-services that provide the foundation for Blackboard Data and for the reporting core capabilities and features.
The person in this role must be comfortable with complex software development projects and be an innovative thinker capable of communicating multi-faceted technical concepts. As a direct contributor, the candidate must have a track record of achieving goals and meeting deadlines on multi-team projects, and the ability to work in an aggressive, fast-paced environment with evolving requirements. In addition to developing software, the ideal candidate can troubleshoot problems and support our production environments. This role will also act as the technical lead for the team, working directly with the team architect to ensure the right things are being built the right way.
This engineer will be working in a serverless environment on the AWS platform, and should have a strong desire to learn as technologies evolve.
