Blackboard’s Global Demand and Digital Marketing team is the center of excellence for digital channels and global demand within Blackboard. The team covers, Website Operations, SEO, eCommerce, Campaign Management, Marketing Automation, Paid Media, and Reporting. This team works in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced environment, and work closely with other members of the Field Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales organizations. 
 


This role will own the development and execution of fact-based reporting, analysis, and analytical models used to enhance decision-making across the marketing function. This role will support the marketing organization with insights and predictive models used to produce improved results.

 

 

A successful candidate will be data-driven, and have a hands-on, collaborative, and have scan-do attitude.

 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading efforts to define and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting, and analyzing marketing results
  • Gaining buy-in for measurement models from key stakeholders
  • Developing dashboards and standardized reports to provide ongoing insight to marketing stakeholders, then working to ensure utilization and adoption of reporting by these stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining appropriate marketing KPIs and ROI models for marketing campaigns and out-of-campaign activities to determine effectiveness
  • Performing segmentation and analysis of prospect and customer groups
  • Partnering with marketing technology manager to identify software needed to advance reporting capabilities
  • Advising marketing stakeholders and digital agency on campaign/program optimization opportunities for in-flight activities
  • Partnering with marketing operations functions on data requirements necessary to perform desired analyses; participate in the development of process modifications needed to deliver required data

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of analytics and/or data science experience related to marketing
  • Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations
  • Ability to translate business objectives into marketing goals and measurements
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts in ways that marketing leaders and other functions will understand
  • Experience in B2B marketing and how its success can be measured
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and their application to marketing challenges
  • Knowledge of platform analytics and reporting technologies (Google Analytics, MAP analytics, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads)
  • Strong experience with business intelligence tools to accurately report and visualize data (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Domo)
  • Master of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel power user)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above

  • Education technology industry experience
