The Blackboard Enrollment Operations Team is focused on serving as a seamless extension of our higher education clients. This position supports the overall successful operation of the enrollment team— achieving application goals, new student enrollment goals, conversion rate goals, and start rate plans; leading efforts related to student recruitment strategy, staff management, and budget development.

 

 

A successful candidate will lead efforts related to student recruitment strategy, staff management, budget development, and supporting activities driving performance of the student recruitment team. In addition, a successful candidate will also coordinate with multiple departments to implement student enrollment strategies, manage resources to meet performance expectations, engage with students and collaborate with on-campus staff to achieve institutional goals, and provide leadership in the execution of a business plan, the control of expenses, and other managerial functions as needed.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving enrollment targets: application volume, conversion rates, new student enrollment targets, application yield, and start plans
  • Managing hiring of enrollment staff, maintaining staffing plans, and providing staff development, training, motivation, and ongoing management of staff; including weekly observations, quarterly performance reviews, and turnover prevention
  • Leading development of student recruitment strategies leveraging promotional content, automated communications, and telephone outreach
  • Collaborating with team members and external departments monitoring strategy execution via CRM technology, predictive dialer technology, and marketing automation tools
  • Identifying innovative opportunities, along with best practices for recruitment/enrollment/retention strategies, including CRM management, reporting and automation, sales processes, and retention strategies
  • Collaborating with on-campus departments to assure students are receiving support they need related to financial aid, orientation, academic advising, and tutoring, and career counseling
  • Ensuring compliance and adherence to ethical standards related to student recruitment practices

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of four years of experience managing a sales team, particularly admissions recruitment, intangible products, or services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills through various means of communication
  • Proficient in using communication technologies including databases, email, phone, and instant messaging
  • Ability to interact effectively as a leader and as a member of a team who works collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Personable, enthusiastic, assertive, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Willingness and flexibility to work some evening and weekend hours as needed

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience serving in a higher education institution
