This role focuses on our Community Engagement platform. You’ll help provide K-12 schools with reliably hosted and low-maintenance content management systems. This product allows parents access to a dashboard full of personalized student data and engages community members with news and upcoming events on a modern, mobile-friendly website. You’ll continually enhance and support the ability for each school to maintain its own online presence.  

As Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will be a part of the team responsible for ensuring the highest possible quality of industry-leading SaaS products and web service platforms.

Specific responsibilities will include: 

• Reviewing business/software requirements and providing inputs
• Preparing/reviewing test plans
• Analyzing test results and tracking software testing metrics
• Preparing and presenting test reports
• Ensuring ZERO functional defect leakage to the production
• Training, mentoring, and supervising junior software engineers
• Contributing to the company knowledge base and process improvements
• Testing and proving that the software meets major architectural requirements
• Continually raising the standards of all the quality processes with every project
• Setting processes for test plan reviews and ensuring that the test plans get reviewed by all stakeholders
• Collaborating in a cross-functional agile team to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
• At least 6 years of experience testing on web applications
• Good knowledge of software quality assurance and defining quality
  strategies for projects and client engagements
• Ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions
• Sound interpersonal and team working skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Easily adaptable to company culture
• Good industry trends awareness
• Good knowledge of estimation techniques
• Very good knowledge of functional, system, and performance testing
  and use of test automation tools
• Strong automation skills on Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills 

Preferred skills/qualifications: 

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
• Experience in GIT version control (for automation scripts)
• Knowledge in front end frameworks such as Angular or React 
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture
