As Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, managing, and executing the marketing programs that focus on creating awareness, transition, and adoption of Blackboard’s Learning Management System within our current client base. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of sales, client success, product marketing, product management and others to deliver programs that build demand for transition and upgrades.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the design and development of the Global Client Success Marketing plan partnering with Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales, Corporate Marketing, PR, and other key stakeholders
• Executing the marketing plan, monitoring results, and reporting on marketing performance
• Creating and organizing marketing content for programs, leadership pieces from initial copy development to asset and campaign production for strategic campaigns in the region
• Delivering and managing multi-channel campaigns leveraging a range marketing mix tactics including PR, social media, events, online marketing, direct marketing, and other field programs
• Becoming fluent in the marketplace dynamics, client segment needs, roles, and personas and developing and helping to execute scalable marketing activities based on the client-centric and segmented approach
• Generating reports and analysis to support marketing key performance indicators
• Defining and reporting on key program metrics to stakeholders and executive leadership
• Partnering with the product management, corporate marketing, regional marketing, and client programs teams to coordinate effective “launches” for our higher tier monthly releases
• Coordinating with numerous groups including Sales, Regional Marketing, Client Success, Communications & PR, Product Marketing, and Product Management

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

• 5+ years of prior relevant marketing experience
• Ability to drive demand for enterprise software, leveraging a variety of techniques including content marketing, drip campaigns, digital/web, etc.
• Proficient with developing integrated, multi-touch marketing plans
• Proficient in HTML email, marketing automation platforms (e.g. Eloqua) and use of CRM tools like Salesforce
• A deep understanding of customer segmentation and experience using data and analytics to inform and influence decision-making
• Outstanding writing, presentation, story-telling, and organizational skills
• Outstanding project management and coordination skills and ability to track multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative, and analytical

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Previous experience in the education industry
• Can-do attitude with passion and enthusiasm
• Proactive and resourceful
