The Senior Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for selling Anthology’s Teaching and Learning products and services to new logo higher education institutions. As a successful RSM, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical high-level relationships with college leadership for the purpose of generating revenue. Previous experience selling Enterprise and/or Teaching and Learning solutions to the higher education industry will allow the successful candidate to be an immediate contributor.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Selling into higher education institutions in a one of four defined territories in the US and the provinces of Canada to drive new-logo or win-back business
• Managing your territory by building effective relationships with prospects and current customers through professional networking including establishing a strategic territory plan to expand the clients base measured through accurate forecasting in CRM
• Addressing prospect and existing client’s problems and delivering the appropriate solution based on the specific needs of the client
• Driving the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closing
• Meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets
• Expanding footprint in existing Anthology clients working together with Customer Engagement Managers (CEMs) or Account Executives (AEs)
• Extensive travel required (50%); remote office must be appropriately equipped and be ergonomically acceptable

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Enterprise application sales experience (10+ years) and/or in Teaching and Learning or eLearning
• Sales expertise of products/services to the higher education market at all levels within an institution
• Track record of quota achievement in technology, software solutions or SaaS
• Ability to present solutions and handle objections in a polished, well-spoken manner
• Proven ability in solution selling, including ability to call on senior level administrators and business function executives at colleges and universities
• Thorough understanding of all stages of the sales cycle with ability to take primary responsibility for maintaining sales motion in all phases
• Must be able to work remotely while also participating in and maintaining a team environment
• Results-driven, passionate, and positive attitude

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Proven expertise in the Teaching and Learning space with emphasis on solutions for Education customers is a plus
